By now most of you are back into the school routine. We have been happy to hear that so many schools have great reading programs to encourage children to read. One of the kids we know told us that his class is "reading around the room." Each day the teacher adds up the hours that children in the class have read and tallies the hours to a chart that goes around the room. Once they have "read around the room," they get a pizza or ice cream party. My nephew has this same concept going on at his school. but they are reading "across the United States." Each book read equals a mile!
